I take the title which I just copied and pasted as being a little tongue in cheek, but I really do love this megafilm by Hungary's Bela Tarr, I call him Hungary's best, better than the trailblazer that came before him Miklos Jansco, his films are very pretty and nicely composed, but they feel empty. Now with Tarr here he gives you yes an empty feeling, but it's full of aching pathos.In this film it's a grand metaphor kind of, it's too big for me to even attempt to describe, but it's apocalyptic in a really slow way, hypnotic quality to it that is all a part of Tarr's unique mature style where it's very solemn, bleak, despairing, and with super depressed people with hard lives.
