Top 10 of the 90s // top 11 of 2000's and 10s

There's lots I've yet to see, in all decades, but in these time periods my watches are very spotty. I dunno if I'll do 30's to 50's today though, but it's been fun!!

1. Secrets and Lies -- This Mike Leigh work had me in tears
2. Satantango -- Bela Tarr's epic
3. Dazed and Confused -- a teen fave
4. Three Colors Trilogy -- I love White actually the best, but all really really good
5. Happiness -- such a daring film!!
6. Frankenhooker -- fun goofy stuff, good vibes
7. Leaving Las Vegas -- this was for a time my favorite bleak movie
8. Crumb -- hell of a documentary
9. The Long Day Closes -- classy film by Terence Davies
10. Run Lola Run -- extremely good soundtrack and exciting experience overall.

2000 to 2019

1. Inland Empire -- Lynch was on a whole other level here
2. Before Sunset -- my #1 romance
3. Parasite -- i'm glad it got the notoriety it so richly deserves, it ushered in a shift of some sort in not just cinema
4. In the Mood for Love -- Wong Kar Wai makes the coolest movies, this just so happens to be more than just cool.
5. Shoplifters -- Hirokazu Koreeda's masterpiece
6. mother! --this astounded me
7. Whiplash -- this astounded me too!!
8. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind -- before I became a film snob, and was exploring the film work of Michel Gondry who did some Bjork videos this made a huge impression on me there was a point where there was a close up of Jim Carrey's eyes with a tear falling down and it just got to me.
9. Ghost World -- Terry Zwigoff, director of Crumb made a defining work here, and this was my chiropractor's fave I lent him.
10. Zoolander -- I mentioned this in a post the other day, and it always leaves me smiling just thinking of it.
11. Prisoners -- the best movie I ever watched on Netflix!!
