My favorite Guy Maddin feature, and then my favorite short film of his

Archangel -- this is imo pound for pound the best, it's the sweet spot in his filmography that i've seen. It shares with Careful hilarious voice over montages i absolutely love, but Careful is not to me as iconic than this, and it has a more overt look at other ways of living that i cannot ever share. Well btw this movie is gonna scare the hell out of the mice. haha they deserve to fear me!! I'm the master of the house now!!


The Heart of the World is the short film, it's a love letter to the cinema, the best of its kind that i've seen. Using rapid fire soviet silent era techniques, it's exhilerhating stuff!!
