One of the hallmarks of the Iranian New Wave -- Close-up by Abbas Kiarostami

I have to have a non freaky film for a change, and this will be perfect for when dad gets back from his hugfest. What an exceptional film this is, it's deep stuff, and nothing to do with seediness, but an examination into a person, and a meditation on celebrities, .... I think that's the gist, but I haven't had my peak experience with this yet, i'm a pretty dumb person and won't realize what a film is doing and saying until having seen it many times. All those other times i've felt its greatness though, and I love being stretched by a movie, in 2004 that was for me the big discovery, that a movie could be important on a level, that is more than just entertainment.
