A dream evening film program

You know on TCM there'd be a guest programmer well this is what i'll do here, and maybe again, these are all films I own, and the first 3 of 4 is provided in full here, and the 4th isn't on YT for free as far as I can tell. I don't have time to watch films at this point in my life, but this can allow me to remember them, and to provide a checklist for our fellow film goers to know what I think is of value in this medium of cinema.

1. Russ Meyer's best film ... his only good one I might add ... this has ugly yellow Spanish subtitles though

2. One of Tarkovsky's great films, I love the use of Bach at the beginning and end and a little in the scene where gravity is temporarily gone.

3. Political filmmaking at its finest

4. My #1 Haneke film isn't on YT for free so this is just some guy talking about it

Great eclectic variety there. I disagree about Russ Meyer though, I like a lot of his films.

@robingoodfellow Yeah? I think his comedy falls flat like in Up! and those kinds. Probably just a matter of taste, I used to love his film scripted by Roger Ebert, but too many perceived false notes imo .....:)
@MrAlmostCrazy i can understand what you mean about the comedy, it's often corny and silly rather than funny.
But there's an impressive look to his films that has no business being there in a low budget sexploitation film. And his camera is always moving and doing something interesting.
I haven't watched his films in a very long time though. Severin home video recently released a bunch of titles on blu ray and UHD and I've been thinking about buying them.

@robingoodfellow Yeah his style is great, and no one blinks!! I have the Arrow Academy DVD set, informative booklet it came with.
