David Lynch Died. 😥

David Keith Lynch (January 20, 1946 – January 2025) was an American filmmaker, visual artist, musician and actor. Lynch received critical acclaim for his films, which are often distinguished by their surrealist, dreamlike qualities. In his 58-year career, he was awarded with numerous accolades, including the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement in 2006 and an Honorary Academy Award in 2019. In 2007, a panel of critics convened by The Guardian announced that "after all the discussion, no one could fault the conclusion that David Lynch is the most important film-maker of the current era."

Sucks that he is dead but I still have no idea who he was. I don't watch movies so that might explain my ignorance of him

What an original. Eraser Head still haunts me, and is direction of Elephant Man was brilliant.
@Fukfacewillie Yes, "The Elephant Man" was brilliantly directed. It's one of my favorite movies of all time.

I love Twin Peaks, and my favorite film of his is Wild At Heart. Angelo Badalamenti scored a great deal of his work, and I know his daughter. She's quite an artist and painted the cover to an album I played on and co-produced, High On Cake.

This one is going to take me awhile.

@uncalled4 gonna throw in my Blue Velvet dvd tonight. That flick helped fire Dennis Hoppers' renascence

This was my initial response to the news today.
Too bad the establishment press doesn't give the same accolades and tributes for children that die of cancer or other diseases or tragedies.
