How is your broken/cracked/cold relationship with family affecting your self worth and the interactions and relationships you have outside?

How are you coping with it? How are you going to make it better for you and others?

For me, it's like Frozen haha XD
With one person standing outside the door and singing "Do you want to be build a snow man?" to someone who would not let them in. Until that person got tired. And now, there is no more music.
And the door remains closed.

I've let them go. After everything that happened, they chose lies.

It's helped improve my self worth. I've done a lot of brave amazing things since I let them go.

The downside is I don't get close to people. And without family or support, I struggle at times. But it only builds my self worth more as I overcome everything alone.

@AlchemyFox I hope you find your people.

Great question!
My relationship with family has grown to be somewhat unhealthy with somw individuals and this affects my ability to feel "Worthy, non- hypocritical," when interacting with outsiders at work and society. I really am not nurturing outside relationships due to this and a myriad of other reasons mostly trust related.

@Iwillwait Rest and rejuvenate. Then try again?

@Casheyane I'm ok with just stepping away.

@Iwillwait That's alright too.

I made poor choices and tolerated a lot.
