I mean.. they can be obnoxious i guess. But any party can be obnoxious. Unless they're causing harm with it i don't see why it would be any worse than a birthday or any other celebration

Apparently it originated from some lady called Jenna Karvunidis who in the 2000's cut into her cake to reveal pink frosting, posted a blog online which went viral and tadaaaa. Now we have to see this nonsense everywhere. Thanks Jenna.
