Hey, so get this.

Apparently, Donald Trump didn't mean to represent himself in court. His lawyers messed up the paperwork because they've never filed in federal court before, so now he's stuck representing himself. 😆
The two out of state lawyers got deficiencies on their pro hac vice filings as well.

The local counsel, Halligan, should have handled those, as well as the motion, but she didn't.

Normally, trash filings like this would be thrown out by the clerk's office, but my guess is because it's Trump, they're bending over backwards.

And my guess is, the DOJ will do the same and instead of filing to get it thrown out, will attempt to treat Trump's filing differently and actually respond as substantively as possible to this garbage and not screw with him on procedural grounds.

Word is, any experienced lawyer won't touch him with a barge pole. Most of the ones he's had have ended up in jail, and they rarely get paid.

Wow so hopefully something can be done to stop the frivolous baseless delay tactic filings.
@BackyardShaman IMO, the best approach would probably be to ignore it or nip the lack of lawyering in the bud, but my guess is the DOJ will "play nice" and respond instead of getting it dismissed and seeking penalties and attorneys fees.

@MistyCee unfortunately I believe you are correct, I keep hoping for a sudden escalation by the DOJ .
@BackyardShaman I haven't seen the actual opinion yet, but it looks like the Judge is being friendly by not just demanding he show cause why she has jurisdiction.

My guess is, both the DOJ and the courts are going to bend over backwards for Trump on this one.

Given the political climate and the fact that Trump ran against professionalism, competency and basically western civilization, and he got millions of voteers ready to fight against those things, it's probably a good thing to pat the village idiots on the head and let them have their day in court.

So when is this all going to happen? When will Trump be in court representing himself?
