Lemmings have been given a bum rap. What other myths need to be dismissed?

Piranhas prefer to feed on carrion and tend to avoid live targets. In the late 1800s Teddy Roosevelt was pranked into believing that piranhas attack humans when he saw a school of them devour a dead cow within minutes. What he didn’t know was that this particular school hadn’t been fed in over a week so naturally they attacked the first food they saw. The truth is piranhas avoid humans swimming in their waters and prefer meat that’s already dead.

Most folks really want Nessie to be real - but how old would he or she be by now?

Manchester U were like the New York Yankees were for decades? Hated 'cause they were so dominant but laughed at now because they aren't?

Great question - - maybe almost as fast as a male Olympic sprinter?

The part about "We've created a God" and not the other way around was perfect.
People who enjoy using the phrase "blind as a bat" must know by now that bats aren’t blind:
Contrary to myth, bats aren't blind. In fact, research shows that depending on the circumstances, bats sometimes prefer using eyesight to sound when hunting. And many fruit bats, which drink nectar rather than hunt insects, don't echolocate at all. These species have particularly sharp vision, and some can even see ultraviolet light.
