is there any way to see the original exorcist film which was released in 1973
i'm a big fan of the original exorcist, i saw it back in the day, in the year 1986 i think, it'd been in theaters quite a while by then and still showed every friday evening at odean cinema back then, although i saw it on vhs at that time.
i often watch exorcist film clips on youtube, and i read quite a few criticisms and complaints from people who write the only version of the exorcist available in the present times are the 2000 re-release version, ' the version you've never seen before', the directors cut, which has added unwanted cgi to the film, scenes that weren't in the original 1973 release, and other unwanted ' effects'........some people remarking on how friedkin fucked up the film with all these unwanted effects....and that the original 1973 cinema version of the exorcist is ' no longer available'.
i wonder is that true? as a long time fan of the exorcist i would feel very disappointed about this and find it unforgivable what the film makers have done....i was hoping there is some way you could still find and watch the original 1973 version of the exorcist.
