Fun fact coco melon is banned in several countries because of its adverse effects on the development on young kiddos

@SW-User I remember when they used to say that Spongebob rotted kids brains. If anything rotted their brains it would be the show Boohbah.

@Joshagibby SpongeBob absolutely had a lot to do with how weird it generation is though ngl

@SW-User I remember seeing an animator analyse Coco Melon on YouTube, and their theory was that kids are addicted to it because it jump cuts and changes camera angles a lot more than other kids shows.
Because it does this, it tends to hype them up and keep them engaged in what they're watching,
Whereas other kids shows (especially for toddlers) tend to be slower paced with less angle changes.
I dunno if there's any scientific backing to what they said, but they made an interesting point

@Fishy You’re correct - it creates a dopamine dependence before they can even talk.
It teaches the brain not to make the dopamine it would normally make, leading to a constant under supply of dopamine. This condition is called ADHD, which I suffer with tremendously.
The reason our kids mental health is suffering is not so much because of screens, but because of what we ate allowing them to watch.
