Why cartoons these days seems so boring and annoying?

Gones are the day like old school road runner tom and jerry sort like cartoon that have simple but funny to watch which the sole purpose is to entertain.Looking at recent years animation from all major film cooporate likes to include the political correctness theme in all of its animated films, but from what I can tell, doing so not only didn't promote positive thinking in kids' minds, but also imbued them with prejudice and led them to believe they were the victims of this tainted society.

@robingoodfellow Well yeah, Looney Tunes is as old as at least the forties. But the point is, they're still making the kind of cartoons you like.
I think the narrative that comedy is dead because of political correctness is completely untrue.

@BohemianBoo I don't know if it's the political correctness angle, I probably wouldn't go that route either. But they're definitely not making cartoons I like. For me it's more of a creativity issue.
I do like Spongebob a lot. But I'm hearing from fans that's going south too.
