Sherlock Holmes vs Hercule Poirot

Still remains as topic of feud for their respective fans and readers.

I am reader of both & my vote goes for Mr Holmes.

The stories are more realistic, where he is visiting crime scenes taking samples, his cases include clues + witnesses, while Poirot solely relies on witnesses

Also in many Poirot stories though they are interesting at the end as a reader you feel that any other alternate closure was possible but things just happened as Poirot guessed or concluded them ( for eg his famous orient express case. He randomly remembers a case happened years ago and assumes every member related to that case is here and case happenings fit to his logic. There are some more like that). Still reading him or Holmes both are pleasure

So what's your take readers ....whom do you prefer?

Poirot has the advantage of everybody being trapped in the one location when a murder happens; ie a train or boat etc. So all he needs is eye witnesses. Yet strangely for someone who is so well known and for people to drop dead around him. No one changes travel plans when his around... Personally if I saw him board my train I'd jump out the nearest window to save myself.
@Thevy29 So true ! You’d see him and know, "someone’s dying !" 😅
