This is deep even for Killer Croc

After allying himself with a band of circus show freak rejects that help him start a new life, Killer Croc ultimately betrays them the moment he learns Batman is onto him. But after Batman is able to capture Croc and have him hailed off to prison, one of the so-called circus rejects, dubbed “seal boy” for his flipper-like limbs, asks Killer Croc in a genuinely heartfelt tone “Why Croc? Why’d you turn on us like that?” To which Croc answers “You said you could be yourself out here, remember kid? I guess that’s what I was doing: just being myself.” The poor kid shuts his eyes with a tear running down his face as Croc is taken away.
