I don't know. I still haven't seen the first Joker, because they broke a cardinal rule with it.
In the comics, nobody ever gave the Joker one single origin story. Movie makers like Tim Burton and whoever was responsible for Joker took that as a challenge, a blank slate, but the fact is, once you lock him down into a mundane origin, you ruin him.
