Yes I do.
I listen to ASMR because it helps me sleep.

@Sidewinder Same!..Helps me after an anxiety attack. It's so sweet, because my fiance will put in on for me sometimes, without me even having to ask. I love how he is that in tune with me.🥺

Yes I watch it while listening to it. I like hair brushing and even massage. I think it started when I first started watching hairstyling on YouTube such as Brad Mondo and then that lead me to ASMR which can be role play and telling a story while making a person feel relaxed. I’ve even gotten into scratching items with long nails although this is rare and this year I have watched a few Mukbangs but only ones that appeal to me.

@Gingerbreadspice Omg!!! I love Brad Mondo. I especially, love the videos where he rates people's haircuts and hair color jobs lol. Oh and of course his hair makeovers....Hair brushing is my favorite. I find hair brushing to be so soothing. Another favorite, is when they put shaving cream on the mic and "shave it".😅🤣

@HelloItsMeAgain Yep. Love Brad Mondo and I watch mic shaving on TikTok 😊.

A while ago, I tried it for a while as an aid to falling asleep.
I have to say that I simply do not "get" all the crinkly scratchy sounds that are supposed to produce "tingles." That all simply sounds like a distraction to me.
But not all ASMR is like that, and some of it I found soothing. But after a while I just stopped, out of lack of interest I suppose.

Does it really help you sleep? Right now I'm willing to try anything to go night night.

@HelloItsMeAgain Well I have pneumonia, and right now it's extremely hard to sleep.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, F
@HowtoDestroyAngels Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that. I hope you get well very soon. Hopefully, her ASMR is able to help at least a little.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M
@HelloItsMeAgain Thank you.
I like it but I hate when it has clicking and it usually has clicking.
I have been trying to get gfs I have had to make asmr videos for me but somehow they always refuse for whatever reason.

@unsociableAnthony Don't get me started on the excessive clicking lol. Ugh, sensory overload for sure!..
Haha, not you asking your gfs to make asmr videos. I can't, that is just too funny. I have yet to be asked that by a partner. Not that anything is wrong with it. I just, wouldn't know how to respond. ASMR is a form of art, I wouldn't want that type of pressure.🤣🤣🤣

What is the point of ASMR isn’t it basically like gently whispering into someone’s ear?
r4ndomusernm3 · 46-50, M
@Muthafukajones yes. when she mentioned asmr, the first thing that came to mind was porn.
Yes, i mean.. i get it.. the whispering, the clicking, all the mouth sounds.. it's arousing :)
I also get that some people use it for sleep - i personally prefer deeper voices talking about some agreeable stuff in the background, like "sleepy science" channel on youtube

@r4ndomusernm3 Lol! Different strokes for different folks. No pun intended.🤣🤣
Allelse · 36-40, M
No.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, F
@Allelse Hey and that is okay. Definitely, isn't for everyone.
