Why didn't anyone tell me the 2015 Mad Max video game ties in with Fury Road and Furiosa?!

Furiosa features a prominent character Scrotus, another son of Immortan Joe, who curiously does not appear in Fury Road, despite Furiosa being a prequel. The reason for that being his fate is explained in the Mad Max game, where he serves as the main antagonist (spoiler alert: Max kills him at the end). Even a supporting original character from the game, Chumbucket, makes a cameo appearance in Furiosa. Gas Town, which is only mentioned but never shown in Fury Road, makes its first appearance in the Mad Max game and the Gas Town shown in Furiosa is modeled after its video game counterpart. Even though the developers of the game have stated it was never intended to tie in with the Mad Max film universe and was only intended as a standalone title, as of Furiosa, word of god from the filmmakers have made it official, so that in chronological order, it goes Furiosa, the Mad Max game, then Fury Road. So now I have to play that video game to make things full circle and finish this apparent trilogy, simply because I enjoyed those movies so much, lol.

@caccoon Have you never seen the Mad Max movies? The bad guys always have weird names. Scrotus' brother is named Rictus Erectus. The big bad in the first movie was Toecutter. Lord Humungus in the second movie.

@caccoon If you haven’t seen Furiosa, I highly recommend it. I personally liked it better than Fury Road.
