The Mission: Impossible films are a pretty unique case of a long-running film series

Most series start off good with the very first movie and then decline in quality over time. But Mission: Impossible is a rare example of the movies starting off meh and then getting good. Not only that, but better and better over time. I can't even think of another film franchise that's like that!
