Who was the first action heroine to kick butt?

Was it Supergirl... or maybe Wonder Woman? There sure seems to be a lot now. I watched Anna last night. She's a force to be reckoned with.

I read heroine as “heroin” at first, and it took me a solid 5 seconds to process it correctly. You can imagine my confusion.
