@squidgy i am a big fan of Martin Scorcese and Oliver Stone stuff as well. Depends how far back we need to go

@Raymuundo Scorcese was responsible for restoring the Charleton Heston film "El Cid" which he thought was a testament to religious tolerance even as it dealt with the religious fanaticism of the antagonists.

I also loved "The King of Comedy".

@Abrienda i just love Goodfellas

@Raymuundo You know I go back and forth on that movie. How can you not love a film which has the longest running single camera scene in film history (I think I described that right) starting from when they arrive at the nightclub, go through the kitchen and get seated. Wonderful. Yet sometimes I feel it is such a mean spirited film...yet who cannot love the performances? Like I said back and forth.

@Abrienda i feel that we are aligned...

Apparently! Oddly I keep thinking my favorite Al Pacino film "Scarface" is a Scorcese film when in fact it is Brian de Palma. De Palma had an obsession with Hitchcock which you can see twice in the chainsaw segment of the movie.
