How the hell is Professor Xavier in the movie Logan when Jean Gray killed him in a previous X-men film? :/

We used to have a comic book shop in my town. Run ny a guy who has read and collected comics almost as long a as I have. He counted, in the Marvel Universe, (this was in 2004) SEVEN DIFFERENT dimensions where characters exist in the Marvell Universe. For instance, The Amazing Spider Man exists in a different place that that of Ultimate Spider man. But yet, many of the pastr events of Peter had to be the same.

And that may be what Disney is thinking.
