James Cagney played more than gangster films during his decades long movie career. Here he is seen with Olivia de Havilland from the 1941 romantic comedy, The Strawberry Blonde. Both of these performers enjoyed long careers in film. The Strawberry Blonde is a fun movie for all the classic cinema lovers that I highly recommend.
I own and have seen every James Cagney movie. Angels With Dirty Faces and Yankee Doodle Dandy Film are essentials. He was married to his wife for over 60 years. He never had a driver’s license and spent his elder years on an upstate NY farm he owned.
If I'm not mistaken - and without googling 'cause I want to see if I remember it correctly - I believe George C. Scott bought a horse from Mr. Cagney (and TCM broadcasted a short video on Scott's take on his moment in time with the old actor). Do you recall seeing it?
