As for Rickman and Oldman. They‘re not typical leading men, they tend to play shady characters, and they’re both prone to over-acting, an air of eccentricity and quirky performances.
Still, two brilliant, gifted, talented and versatile actors.
But they can’t really carry a movie all by themselves.

@CedricH Over-acting is a bit of a stretch. It's a good thing you mentioned Versatility. Which is something they have. Leo and Daniel have it in spades. But it is in short supply with the other 4. They should be knocked down to the same tier as Sean Connery. Along with Ron Perlman who I didn't even notice on the list.

Russell Crowe is absolutely versatile, the others, less so. So I understand why you wouldn’t put them in your own top tier.

Snape, and Hans Gruber? Good characters and one could argue that he had to over-act to get them right but it’s easier for Shakespearian-trained actors to be a tad theatrical. He went overboard with it when he played the Sheriff of Nottingham in Kevin Costner‘s Robin Hood.

Gary Oldman is truly versatile. But he rarely plays characters that I‘d like to be. They’re less relatable for me.
That’s a factor too. So the list isn’t just a reflection of pure skill. If it were, Oldman would have to be ranked even higher.
