Has anyone watched The Last Ship with Eric Dane? The first season has been good. RIP Eric Dane

It's great all the way through except season 4 drags a bit. It is written and,acted well.

Loved that show. I must have watched that 2x.

Watched an episode of that new Doctor show with Zack Quinto as the faceblind neuro doctor with Eric Dane and he was only standing 2 times the whole episodes it was so hard seeing such a strong actor weakened so much

I saw that it’s on Netflix but in all honesty seeing him makes me very sad. 😔

I remember enjoying that series, but it's been a few years since I watched it. Have you watched the Netflix Eric Dane special where he spoke about life and the effects of the ALS? Exceptionally poignant, and quite sad, yet I was glad I had watched it.

Yes, just started season 3. It's not bad, but some things definitely should've never made it into the script, like there is no way a US destroyer could sail up the Mississippi River much farther than Baton Rouge (it wouldn't be able to pass under many bridges, and the water wouldn't be deep enough either). And as much effort as they made using special effects to make the Los Angeles River appear to be tropical Nicaragua, it's funny how sometimes they don't bother trying to hide the southern California mountains in the background when they're supposedly in Florida or Louisiana.

I was really surprised at the final event of season 2 as well, didn't see that coming.

I'd never heard of Eric Dane until this show, I see he died from ALS, that is scary, ALS can seemingly hit anyone at any time, and there isn't a way to prevent it.

It has been a while, but I watched it and liked it enough to watch it through all the episodes. I'd never watch it again - just too many "that can't happen" moments in it.
