Being a fan of the Universal studios monster movies and others from the 30s/40s, and having watched them too many times to count, here's one from '39 Son of Frankenstein, where Inspector Krogh (Lionel Atwill) is confronting Wolf von Frankenstein (Basil Rathbone) on his knowledge that the Monster is indeed alive and killing people, including Wolf's own butler, Benson.

Wolf: Benson?

Krogh: He's dead. I just found his body in a secret passageway off the nursery. Here's his watch. It's been in the possession of your son. Here's a bit of chain that was attached to Brandon's vest. But Ygor didn't do it, nor did you. Nor was it done by any 'ghost!' There's a monster afoot and you know it! He's in your control. By heaven, I think you're a worse fiend than your Father! Where is this monster? Where is he? I'll stay by your side until you confess! And if you don't, I'll feed you to the villagers, like the Roman's fed Christians to the lions!

Wolf: I wouldn't put it past you! In the meantime, will you have a drink, or would you like to play darts?

I used to be able to do the whole thing to 'Star Wars : A New Hope', back when I was younger. Not just a scene, the whole movie.

Fun!

The scene in "The Conversation" where Gene Hackman's character listens back to the tape recording he made of a couple talking in secret. He hears a young man say, "He'll kill us if he got the chance." Hackman's character listens to that line several times, but it's only at the end of the film that he realises the man actually says, "He'll kill US if he gets the chance."
The shift in emphasis on the word "us" completely changes the context of the line and Hackman realises he's been completely mistaken throughout the entire film. It's an audacious piece of filmmaking, even more relevant today than it was in the 70s, when the movie was made.

@Richard65 I don’t get it
Richard65 · M
@Ferise1 Hackman is hired by a billionaire to secretly tape record his wayward daughter who has struck up a relationship with a young man. The billionaire is worried the young man is trying to marry his daughter just so he can get her money. As he secretly listens in, Hackman hears the young man say to the daughter, "He'll kill us if he gets the chance."
Hackman becomes convinced that the young couple are terrified that the billionaire is planning to murder them, rather than let them get married.
This convinces Hackman to withhold the tape recording from the billionaire and he becomes paranoid that he's involved in a potential murder plot.
At the end of the film the billionaire is the one that gets murdered. Hackman listens to the tape one more time and he realises the emphasis on the word "us" is pre-emptive. He realises the young man says to the daughter, "He'll kill US if he gets the chance," (emphasis on "US"). It means the billionaire isn't planning to murder them - the young man is convincing the daughter that THEY must murder the billionaire. He uses the excuse that the billionaire will PROBABLY murder them to stop them getting married. So, they both kill the billionaire first. Hackman realises their plot and that his mistake might have cost a life (just not the life he originally thought). He was involved in a murder plot, but it was the young couple plotting to kill her billionaire father.

Not so much "Movie Scenes" but my Boy Bray Wyatt from WWE Wrestling.... His Promos he did on wrestling I can pretty much quote word for word ❤❤❤❤
BohoBabe · M
@BrandonWyatt36 Bray Wyatt's return after he was fired was one of those super memorable moments. Can't say I liked what happened after that, the whole Uncle Howdy storyline was pretty bad. But that moment where he came back at a ppv and the fans went insane, that was crazy dope.
BrandonWyatt36 · 36-40, M
@BohoBabe Yeah my favorite was the Cult leader Gimmick... He was the Cult leader the first time I went to see him live in the next town over... The second time he was the Fiend... But yeah since he's passed away now I don't watch it and don't care nothing about the Wyatt Sicks... I have my own opinions on that... But I will always be committed to him when he was the Cult leader... And i WILL be wearing my Bray Wyatt stuff when I go to the Local Wrestling show in my town next Saturday OF COURSE! ❤❤❤❤😈😈😈😈🙌🙌🙌

I dunno that I recite it all verbatim but among other gems within Monty Python and the Holy Grail the French taunting scene is brilliant

He’s a good looking boy. Do you mind if I keep this picture?
Sure
Say there was a big guy on a bike looking for him this morning. Does that have anything to do with it?
No… I wouldn’t worry about him.
