Twin Peaks

Does anyone watch this show? I'm thinking of giving it a try but i can't seem to find out what it's actually about. Every trailer is so mysterious. Is it like the Twilight Zone maybe? Whats happening at this place. I love shows about small towns with mysteries. But im wondering is it worth it.

I liked it in my early 20s, not sure if I could appreciate it as much if I started to watch it now. Season 1 was great, Season 2 felt forced and artificially drawn out and I turned off the Season 3 in the middle of the first episode and wasn't interested since.
