RIP, Brigitte Bardot.

God Created Women, and now He has taken back the sexiest one. While the U.S. had Marilyn, the World had Brigitte.

Not ashamed to say that she starred in most of my teenage masturbation fantasies.

Her last movie was 52 years ago. She was a great animal rights advocate. Her last 30 years on earth, however, have been a waste.
@Northwest How can you say such a thing?

How can you say such a thing?

She spent the last 53 years of her life, especially the last 30 years, advocating for a colonial France, where Africans and Middle Easterners are treated less than humans and subservient, and a white france.

You have another name for that?

@Northwest She wasn't the brightest bulb in the box, and she could fall for racist theories, among other things , but her main thing was animal rights, turning her into an anti-immigration militant, as it's been done in some media outlets is an exaggeration, but arent we living in times of exaggeration and polarisation?

She wasn't the brightest bulb in the box

In the box?

and she could fall for racist theories, among other things ,

So, she's just a dummy led around by her bleached blond hair?

Or is she the tip pf the spear and is the only influencing wanna be racists?

as it's been done in some media outlets is an exaggeration

Or they're reporting it as it actually is, or even less so, out of deference to her advanced age.

Let's do a thumbs up for Hitler for how much he loved Blondi. 👍
@Northwest I doubt she was influencing many people. No, she was not a dummy and she could be quite brave, like when she defended abortion rights, while it was not legal, and talked about pollution when it was hardly discussed. But she was not so clever when she played the roles of women that were abused and ridiculed. She was not bright either when she fell in love with a far-right politician. You do like to see thing s in black or white, that's your choice.

Try again. Her relationship with the Le Pen family, which came as an extension of her family's pro-colonial white supremacy allegiance, proceeded her relationship with d'Ormale, in fact she met him through Le Pen.

But you should make up your mind about her "not being the brightest bulb", vs brave and principled.

Interesting though that you chose the term "black or white", so I should also celebrate OJ's life, other that one thing.
@Northwest Yeah, I do use the expression black and white. I also think bravery requires a form of intelligence. She was able to spot true problems and to act upon it. I know about the way she met her husband, and I also saw how this relationship made her more secure in her racialist views.
You have your ideas, as a SW user, we are free to disagree but I would appreciate you dropped the condescending tone.

Seriously?

Perhaps you should stick to a position, and not switch up with every comment.

@EarthlingWise I only deal with this conversation, not what you've been following for years.

France was a colonialist power, that slaughtered, enslaved, and tortured, millions of people and stole the natural sources of several countries.

Anyone who spends 30 years advocating for and defending this legacy and influencing on its behalf is someone who is a waste of 30 years of oxygen.

Heil Blondi.
@Northwest lol. Have a nice day.
