One of my first jobs was at a Blockbuster Video store.
One of the perks of the job was that at shifts end, I would get to rent videos for free.

@Sidewinder If someone came in 3 minutes before close needing a membership would you ever come up with some bullshit excuse about how you can't open a new membership that late?

@chasingMonday Then some years later, after Blockbuster went "belly-up," that store in my hometown eventually became a Salvation Army Thrift Store.
It was from that very store, that I would buy movies on videocassette from for a dollar each (50 cents, if they were having a sale) and build up my own personal video collection, so in a sense, it's like coming around full-circle.

@SpectralMourning 🤔... I'm not too sure about that, as it was only a part-time job I was doing in my later High School years.
