@rinkydinkydoink i think it was a more by proxy thing. he was just everywhere and doing so many westerners and that was something my dad could get behind

The only thing I noticed but didn't like was his seemingly always having to be the most manly - almost cartoonishly manly - guy all the time. James Stewart, Dean Martin, Robert Mitchum and others had to play second fiddle.

@rinkydinkydoink i dunno that i really noticed at the time... or i was young enough to just accept that as the way. im not sure you're ready for much nuance in stories before 3rd grade
