In one episode, Thelma convinces Iola to stand up to her overbearing mother. The idea worked but Iola got kicked out. Iola temporarily moved in with the Harper’s and was very inconsiderate. She rearranged Thelma’s kitchen & refrigerator as well as reupholstered the living room furniture without asking Thelma. So the Harper’s eventually got her out by staging a dinner from hell
