Fellow Mortal Kombat fans how does this sound for a Mortal Kombat cinematic universe?
There are talks about a possible Mortal Kombat cinematic universe, here were some ideas I had.
Phase One
Mortal Kombat (2021)
Mortal Kombat II (2025)
Mortal Kombat III
Phase Two could be prequel stories
Story one would show Raiden and Fujin banish Shinnok to the Neatherrealm.
Story two would show Onaga ruling Out world until Shao Kahn overthrows him.
Story three would show Kitana having to live under Shao Kahns Rule and carry out Missions for him. I think the upcoming film is going to have a flashback to Shao Kahn conquering Edenia.
Story Four could show the origins of the Shirai Ryu and the Lin Kuei and how they got to be enemies.
Story Five could show Shao Kahns conquest of the realms.
Story Six would focus on the Great Kung Lao.
Story Seven could be a prequel about Bi-Han, the older Sub Zero. Lewis Tan has expressed interest in doing a Sub Zero prequel.
Story Eight would be a prequel movie about Sonya, Jax, and the Special Forces fighting Kano and the Black Dragon.
Phase Three
There is talk about a Johnny Cage stand alone movie. This could be an adaptation of Mortal Kombat 4/MK X. I know MKX is a retelling of MK4 but this movie could adapt elements from both games.
A movie showing Outworld break out in civil war in the time since Shao Kahns defeat.
A movie where the younger Sub Zero rebuilds the Lin Kuei, teams up with Scorpion and tries to stop the Cyber Lin Kuei/Tekunin. Triborg could be the main villain of this movie.
There could be a story adapted from MK Deadly Alliance.
A movie adapted from Mortal Kombat: Deception would be cool too. This movie would have a special series preceding it that would show Shujinko exploring the realms like he did in MK Deception Konquest Mode.
Phase Four would be in the future. The Kombat kids would be in these stories. Some of these stories could include.
A Noob Saibot movie.
A Havik movie.
And maybe one final threat that the heroes must defeat and the series can have a satisfying conclusion. I like the Mortal Kombat franchise and the lore is something from it that I enjoy. While the major characters from the games could be in this cinematic universe I would like to see several minor characters as well.
