On tv shows or movies when someone is drowning and they are revived with CPR and start coughing up water why do they never turn them on their side?

Im not a nurse but wouldn't it be easier to cough out water when laying onto your side?

My wife works in nursing and has said as much. She’s also pointed out how many times CPR chest compressions are portrayed as love taps when in reality it’s a pretty violent endeavor causing cracked ribs.
