This basically confirms that we're going to be seeing the street-level villains of Spider-Man make it to the big screen. His gallery of rogues includes a lot of organized crime figures, and I hope they can weave them all into good movie. It's a pretty big part of his comic book arc, and has been done well in other media. I think the execs at Marvel just wanted to get some of the bigger, flashier villains out of the way first before making their way to the street-level ones.
Mostly I want to see how they'll play the character of Hammerhead. He's just such a weird villain that I would love to see for comic relief
