She the chick from King Kong.
Feh Rey?
JSul3 · 70-79
@Dainbramadge No problem.
The lovely Fay was actually a brunette.
@JSul3

In certain angles - and if I squint a wee bit - I see a bit of Kim Novak going on.
JSul3 · 70-79
@rinkydinkydoink Squint real, real hard....

ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
A very young Zasu Pitts? Around the time she was in GREED?
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@rinkydinkydoink I think the Wikipedia source is actually a typo from a book.
@ChipmunkErnie She was very creepy in Greed, after she became greedy. Having only seen her in comedies until then her performance took me by surprise.
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@robingoodfellow I've only ever seen clips from GREED, never sat through the whole thing. And the version that exists is hours short of the full original.
@ChipmunkErnie even in its trunkated form its worth your time.
@ChipmunkErnie

I'd like to think so! A movie should be made about this guy - but who is "BIG" enough for such a demanding role?
@rinkydinkydoink

You made me look -

ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
@rinkydinkydoink Yes, that's what I was remembering. Years ago I saw a documentary on the making of GREED and that window story was part of the commentary.

Funny you should say that - - from https://11east14thstreet.com/2014/04/29/zasu-pitts-unexpected/

"So, as legend has it, did D. W. Griffith who said she resembled Lillian Gish so much that he couldn’t use her in a film with his beatific blonde muse. While the perception of beauty is a matter of personal taste, talent can be evaluated objectively, and in ZaSu Pitts it was unquestionable. Erich von Stroheim called her the screen’s greatest tragedienne and gave her the lead in his greatest film."

Erich von Stroheim played the devoted servant/advisor/ex-husband to Norma Desmond in Sunset Blvd.
Pretzel · 70-79, M
zazu Pitts?
@Pretzel

Even bigger, yep :D
