It's Hollywood. Time constraints. There have been cases where everyone was told to leave the set because that love scene became oh so physically real. Nothing beats saying to hell with acting let's do this.
@OogieBoogie I didn't mention romance. Just two getting aroused and physical. It happens. But I know what you mean. I refer to 1st sentence of my reply. Maybe it fits with todays need for instant gratification.
