@OlderSometimesWiser I never saw Thomas as a villain.
@Bumbles Lol….. well, he wasn’t exactly an angel but it’s partially a tribute to the acting of Cillian Murphy that despite his being a vicious killer, cruel and cutthroat, Tommy could appear quite sympathetic at times.

@OlderSometimesWiser True, but how do you not root for Tommy!
@Bumbles Absolutely, I’m forever in love with Tommy. Thought Arthur was a fascinating character too. The entire series was just brilliant, thinking of watching it a second time which I very rarely do.

@OlderSometimesWiser Poor Arthur! I watched it three times during the pandemic, lol.

And Tom Hardy as Alfie Solomons…the only one who could best Tommy, really. What a performance
@Bumbles Lol….. you’re a true devotee. It’s just so rare when a series is the total package, brilliant writing, directing, acting, cinematography, sets, costumes, music.

Tom Hardy was great. The whole cast was stellar, also especially enjoyed Sam Neill and Adrien Brody’s performances.

@OlderSometimesWiser Absolutely! And contemporary music as well. “Red Right Hand” was so perfect for the theme.

I’m jealous you’ve only seen it once.
