Watching StarTrek Discovery…

How has the Federation been around for over 1000 years at this point, and no one has figured out that 5 point harnesses on the bridge chairs would prevent like 80% of all bridge crew injuries? 🤦‍♂️

But the inertial dampers are supposed to take care of that AND allow the crew to walk around and carry out their duties.

@ChipmunkErnie Supposed to, sure, but every week they hit something, or get hit by something, or there’s a gravitational anomaly, or inertial dampeners go offline, or the grav plating fails, or something else happens to throw them around in some way. Just a freaking 3 point seat belt would help some for gods sake! The thing we’re all legally required to wear in a car, which is several thousand times smaller so less inertia in an impact.

Seriously, where is the Federation’s version of OSHA?! 😂

@Zaphod42 LOL I don't know. I tried to watch DISCOVERY and was so turned off by it's almost non-existent link to anything really STAR TREK that I gave up on it during the first season.
