Source Code (2011)
Mubi needs to be a place i spend a lot of time in, and this is today's featured feature, starring that nice guy i recently listened to narrating The Great Gatsby. I'd say he's one of the better actors working recently, but i say that for only seeing around 5 of his films total, so no time like the present to keep watching as many movies and shows as you possibly can for at least 3 wake periods per week!!!
Synopsis
Captain Colter Stevens must identify a bomber who just destroyed a train and plans to kill thousands more. A top-secret program allows Colter to repeatedly exist in the parallel reality of the doomed commuter train. He becomes convinced that he can prevent the deadly blast from ever happening.
Mubi's Take
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal in a stalwart lead performance, Source Code shines through the intimacy conceived by its well-rounded cast. Directed by Duncan Jones (Moon), the film toggles between thriller and science fiction, but proves that you can have both a twisty plot and a human touch.
Jarfff's take
I like how this is going, a little excitement into the mix!! Apart from the cgi, this is pretty pretty good. 2 pretties out of 3. Excellent, deeply satisfying sci-fi thriller!!
