It's one reason I like asking for movie theater gift cards. Free 'treat'.
I smuggle my own snacks 🍬🍪🧃

Yes, movie-going can be expensive but matinee's are still cheap.
I paid 8 bucks. Would have been less if it weren't for the online convenience fee.

@iamnikki An empty theater's always a weird experience. I think netflix and amazon took advantage of the lockdowns to polish their content, and pull revenue from theaters to in-home on demand streaming.

@SethGreene531 Well I saw the movie early in the afternoon, 2 months after it's debut, so it would make sense. I have netflix and still enjoy an occasional movie outing.
