The upcoming US Civil War movie sounds implausible.

Texas and California on the same side? Bollox. Nobody could suspend disbelief that much.

It is pandering to a very specific demographic. Although not sure if that is a great strategy to make much money on a film.

I got into disaster preparedness a few years back which can very quickly lead to the survivalist/prepper community which is largely right wing.

So I can tell you there are people in California particularly in rural areas that would identify with this and these people talk like they live in hostile territory like occupied Europe in WW2.

Funny enough most of these people see Hollywood as being as much an "occupying force" as their state government.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow many in Hollywood sound like politicians when they address the masses without a movie script .
