@bijouxbroussard I was oneangryman for a long time, but I got fed up of people asking me what I was angry about. I liked the Henry Fonda character's open minded approach.

@SW-User Check out the tv version. Robert Cummings plays the Fonda role.
Fun watching the differences.

@JSul3 Theres a stage play on tour in the UK at the moment I'd quite like to see. Not sure if I'll be able to make it to any of the venues though

@bijouxbroussard It is part of the Criterion bluray disc.
Do a web search. Perhaps it is available on a streaming service.

@JSul3 I looked it up, it’s the Studio One version, from 1954 (it predates the original film).
There’s a 1997 remake that I’ve seen, too, but it’s amazing how many adaptations there are.

@bijouxbroussard Looking forward to your comments after viewing!

@JSul3 It was pretty amazing ! Unlike the movie in that it wasn’t resolved. But jurors 9 (Joseph Sweeney) and 11 (George Voskovec) were played by the same actors as in the 1957 movie.

@bijouxbroussard Correct! I did not mention that before, as I wanted it to be a surprise to you.
The TV version leaves you wondering what the jury vote will be.
I am so glad that this tv version has survived. It is a great companion piece to the '57 film.

@JSul3 I found myself watching the 1957 movie and a remake from 1997. It was interesting to see later interpretations of the jurors by other actors.
I don’t know if you saw it, but it starred Jack Lemmon, Hume Cronin, Tony Danza, James Gandolfini, Edward James Olmos, George C. Scott, Ossie Davis, Dorian Harewood, Courtney Vance, Mykelti Williamson, Armin Mueller-Stahl, William Petersen.
