I loved the soundtrack and the supposed movie playing in the background

It was good? I loved it!!
It reminded me of the JFK movie era, I loved that too, I have to watch it again. Kevin Costner was amazing

@SW-User Such potential, and I can be a harsh critic. I think it was in desperate need of an editor and the sound mix was dreadful. I often couldn't hear the dialog, and I don't like being "told" what to feel so much.
It should have been in chronological order as the three narratives didn't serve the story. The female characters should have had more to do, and I would have trusted the audience with more science. I would have focused on the race with the Germans, gotten rid of most of the H-bomb stuff, and made him losing the clearance more of a coda than a central plot. Would have played up the friendship with Edward Teller which was one of the few effective relationships in the movie along along with Einstein.
But, loved Cillian Murphy and some of the supporting cast.
