tired of the same topic

I just saw a trailer with Anthony Hopkins called "ONE LIFE"
Which is about another hero who saved Jews during the Holocaust. And honestly I realized that I'm sick of seeing movies relating to the Holocaust all the time. Why cant we get more representation and awareness of other type of people or events from genocides in cinema? There are so many horrible occurrences that have happened throughout human history. Why does it have to be about this certain event over everything else. I want something else I want other stories to be given a chance on the big screen.

That depends on the audience I suppose. If you make a film about witch hunts and religious persecution, Christians will boycott the film.
If you make a film about native Americans being slaughtered and forcibly evicted from their lands, the film will perform badly in the US.
If you make a film about recent conflicts but from an opposing point of view the same thing happens.

It’s all about money.

That said there can never be enough films about the horror of the holocaust, especially as it seems the lesson has not been learned by so many, despite all efforts.

@Morvoren the second example is about to come out next month and its said to be huge box office wise, Killers of the Flower Moon is the name. so i disagree

and of course but it should not be the only pushed setting about Genocide.

Many happen for different reasons some of which are the same, but again more should be made about said events
