Does anyone remember watching the show "ER" ?

It’s airing on an oldies channel. I’d forgotten what a great show it was, and how it was a launch pad for actors who became superstars…
Even the intro theme was one of the most dynamic of its time.

Of course I remember er. What about that one about Alaska it was like a quirky little weird comedy about a doctor and a DJ or something. Northern Lights or something like that or the great white North. It was entertaining though I wonder what happened to the cast of that show I know the mayor or this town boss whatever he was was the guy from the first war games movie. With Matthew Broderick and was it Elizabeth shoe?? . No, no, no, it was a creepy one from Breakfast Club right? Her name is at the tip of my tongue. Anyway I'm way off track and way off subject. The dude I'm talking about was the NORAD General and he was like the town boss and I think it was an hour-long show but it was like a comedy. I just realized that. they don't really make hour long comedy shows do they?. That Alaska one's the only one I can think of actually. Northern Lights? What's that what it was called
@Jayciedubb Northern Exposure.

@bijouxbroussard YESSSSSS!! Thank you. I know the DJ was in The Fat Greek Wedding movie but I don't know what any other ones did oh wait, the old blonde guy who was married to the young blonde girl, I've seen him in some movies he plays the same role pretty much in every movie but sometimes it's a bad guy maybe

The funny thing is I cannot remember when it was on . what years or anything like that. I'm that way with a couple songs too . was it already in syndication by the time ER came on? I didn't see any Primetime TV in the 90s because I worked at night while I was in college. And then I graduated I started my apprenticeship and went to school at night and work days for the rest of the 90s LOL maybe that's why my time frames are all screwed up
@Jayciedubb It aired from 1990 to 1995 on CBS.

@bijouxbroussard really? Was it also in syndication before it went off the air? I remember seeing it like on a daily basis with my then girlfriend, now and since forever ago,, wife
during my transition time between college graduate and construction worker which was like the first half of 95 . Anyway, it's not important and I just realized it's taking me through a part of my life that was really not good. I think I need to switch Memory Lanes LOL hey what about that show police story in the '80s right? the one Kevin Spacey was in for about a chapter. He had an incestuous relationship with his sister and they were like criminals or something. they weren't permanent fixtures. they were just, a few episodes or maybe a season or something like that but Ken Wall was in all of them . Ken Whall (sp?) Looks a little bit like Mr Big from the what zit called , Sex in the City .. lol I almost called it Golden Girls sorry ladies . Hey wait a minute, are Mr Big and Ken Wall the same guy? Anyway I wanted to mention also China Beach and there was another Vietnam show. It was like platoon or something it was an hour long show I think police story was the one with Dennis what's his name in it. You know the guy from Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. He's actually really an ex cop. Dennis Farina I think. Police story might have been the show he was on I don't know what the Ken Wall show was called.. are The Simpsons still on? Thank you Tracy Ullman.. I bet she never saw that one coming LOL. A little filler cartoon between skits and commercials ending up being maybe the longest running show on Prime Time in history while her variety show lasted maybe a season or two. It was a funny show though it's just there's no way any show with real humans on it is going to last that long. If a shows going to last as long as the Simpsons, it's going to have to be a cartoon
