1949 or 2006? I ask because I remember a scene in the Broderick Crawford effort that went like this:

PILLSBURY
Now you know Willie don't drink,
Tiny. His wife don't favor drinking.
And Willie's the teacher's pet, ain't
you, Willie?

WILLIE
I'll have some orange pop if you
don't mind.

Duffy roars with laughter.

DUFFY
Orange pop! All right, Sugar Boy.
Bring him some orange pop.

This may seem like a minor point (ok, ok... it is a minor point) but what's commonly referred to in the U.S. as soda, in this movie it's called pop. And in the deep south, too.

[c=004A59]It was the 2004 version.
I have heard it called "drink." [/c]
