The early storylines were not great.....and it was not that popular ..
Until the Daleks came along.
They saved the series.

@TheSirfurryanimalWales The first episode with the introduction of the TARDIS was a stunner, but the 'educational' historic story of the discovery of fire making was boring...then the Daleks! I was bored by the Marco Polo story which came after that, but I did learn who he was. Education...on a Saturday tea time!?? Outrageous. 🤣

I watched that one with my nephew who was a kid when the show came back.It was shown on BBC4 I think.
He was a fan of the revival and wanted to see how it started but wasn't impressed!
Neither was I...and I had probably seen it when I was 6!
