Woman King...
I thoroughly enjoyed this film. I absolutely love Viola Davis as an actress and all the films she stars in, I completely believe in her.
This was another.
I get that it had references to a painful time, but for me that wasn't my focus for seeing the film, I was wholeheartedly dedicated to taking it for what it was, rich in dialect, culture and dedication to "serve King and Country".
It's a war movie for the side of the world we don't get to see like that.
And it truly makes 100% sense why they sought to protect their land and people.
I'm not here to push a political/societal agenda, I'm here to accept the creative vision and take from it the message it tried to convey...
Understanding why there is/was a Woman King...
I'm not pacifying anyone, if you see the film it does exactly what it needs to and more.
Oh and I got the ice cream I was craving and more.
