I don't think the issue is only with Beauty and the Beast. I think there are a lot of things that need parental guidance with kids watching Disney.
Goldilocks trespasses private property. Snow White easily trusts strangers and ended up dying. Aurora married the first guy who she saw when she opened her eyes without getting to know him. Cinderella needed rescue. She could have saved herself. Need I go on?

@Casheyane newer movies like Brave and Moana, they have a strong independent female character who thinks for herself

@WaryWitchWandering Jasmine in the live version of Aladdin is cool.

Problem is with Disney is that all the Stories behind their movies are full of dark secrets and have some twisted origins. Like in this movie, girl has no choice except to agree with it. It actualy shows how society was treating woman and depicted woman in bad taste like witch has imprisoned prince and she was the villain of the story while when Prince do the same he was considered as hero

I mean I more think it’s BS that Disney is all “oh hey Belle you’ve been imprisoned in this abusive relationship but just LOVE HIM ENOUGH and you’ll get your happy ending”

@KingofPizza2 that's sad, but it's funny because it's true. 👍

Wow he's so maudlin about being a beast and acts like it's this ancient curse that he's been suffering for so long that he's lost all hope. But actually he's a teen living in a castle with hundreds of servants.

That’s because he was cursed by the witch for being a nobhead to her

In my country a guy can't legally marry before he turns 21

wow, never thought of it before but it's like the whole "blue balls" fallacy on steroids.

That’s a valid point
