The lesbian kiss in Lightyear

In the lightyear the movie states that it's a 90s movie in universe that spark the events of toystory 1
My question is that would the lesbian kiss be allowed in a 90s kids space movie?
If it would be featured would the movie get a higher rating like a 12 or a 15?

The kiss was a blink and you'll miss it scene but the couple is a plot point.
I mean that makes sense now that it's a lesbian kiss because it was banned in a lot of countries. You didn't have to spoil it. Though in parts of the world this is all they talk about and I knew about a kiss but I didn't know it was homosexual. Which makes no difference to me anyway I'm not a homophobic freak.
@Wanrich5 I understand and you make all sense. The only thing homosexual in 90s movies was hairdressers or guys at clothing shops. I didn't say you were homophobic I apologize, I was referring to the Middle East movie editors.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether I get you, Tobe honest the one of the middle Eastern countries hates woman drivers like, come on woman are some the best drivers

@Wanrich5 no it wasn't. People were mostly fine with chicks kissing chicks back then, it was dudes kissing dudes they really freaked out over.

Do we automatically give 12/15 ratings to movies where straight couples kiss? No. Therefore...
Wanrich5 · 41-45, M
@Elessar not me personally,I would go sneak in to see it because of the controvercy

Would you be okay with you say a man and a woman kissing in a kids' movie?
Lots of them have had it.

Why is different if it's a homosexual couple?
@basilfawlty89 The only difference is that it gets banned in the Middle East 😅 and in most cases they just remove the scene.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether dude Disney has already spoiled that from day one

It wouldn't make such a problem as some might think in the 1990's if it were just the USA. You see there were plenty of gay bars then. Heck in 2000 I frequented one myself in Texas of all places and I'm not gay! 🤷🏻‍♂️

A high rating though wouldn't be likely.

@DeWayfarer I'm from England and I only saw what the American media wanted me to see nothing gay related like American elites treated gays like a embarrassing sectet
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@Wanrich5 there have actually been foreign relations problems over movies before. The position they have likely taken is to down play that in all foreign countries.

It's easier to deal with it that way. Rather than doing market research on all countries. Market research costs money.

BTW that bar, it was very much a high scale bar in Texas!

Dress code and all! The elite couldn't care less about gay or lesbian kissing. It's all about the money!

In the 1960s Liberace was a very well known, very wealthy gay piano player. He didn't become very wealthy or well known without the help of the ultra rich!

That was the 1960's! It never was a secret!

Thanks for ruining the movie.

Can you name me a 90s kids movie with an openly gay kiss? The movie would of got backlash, I'm saying making lightyear a 90s movie was a bad movie for pixar
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Wanrich5 By the very same logic cover your ankles whenever you're in public because in the early 900s that was seen as shameful as well

Totally the reason I won’t be watching the movie, more evil propaganda
